Innotrans 2016

A+S took part in the internationally leading trade fair for traffic technologies, Innotrans 2016, once again. A new addition to the program was the presentation of the Supplier Innovation Award for especially innovative services on the part of a DB (German Railway) supplier. This award is presented in the framework of the DB Supplier Award.

Approx. 200 guests were invited to this high-level award in the fields of rolling stock, infrastructure, general needs and services such as ICT. Among others, A+S was also represented by the CEO Dr. Veit Appelt as an important innovation partner in the field of BIM and the author of an article in the new book "Infrastrukturprojekte 2016 -- Bauen bei der Deutschen Bahn" ("Infrastructure Projects 2016 -- Construction by the German Railway"). The new volume, with contributions from leading companies in the railway field, was ceremoniously presented to the German Rail CEO Dr. Rüdiger Grube.

The Supplier Innovation Award was presented to SIEMENS for the new ICE 4. The DB Supplier Awards were presented to:

• ALSTOM Transport Deutschland GmbH
• Shenzhen SED Wireless Communication Technology Co., Ltd.
• Ferdinand Gross GmbH & Co. KG.

The event, which was also attended by the executives for finances and controlling, Dr. Richard Lutz, and for transportation and traffic, Berthold Huber, came to a close with participants in the best of spirits.
