BIM IN INFRASTRUCTURE, TRANSPORT & ENERGY 2022

The Association of German Railway Engineers (VDEI) is organizing the congress "BIM in Infrastructure: Transport & Energy" on 16 and 17 March 2022 in Dresden together with the Technical University of Dresden and buildingSMART Germany. The two-day event will focus on the application of data models for rail, road and energy infrastructure in planning, construction and operation.
In compliance with the 2G+ rules, the congress will take place at the International Congress Center Dresden in presence. The congress will also be broadcast as a livestream for registered participants.
Dr. Veit Appelt will open the congress in his function as lecturer BIM Infra TU Dresden/ TU Munich and welcome the participants. The Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport Affairs will be represented by Parliamentary State Secretary Daniela Kluckert. She will take part in the welcome session at the start of the event together with Dr. Veit Appelt, Dr. Thomas Mainka (President of the VDEI) and Gunter Wölfle (Managing Director of buildingSMart Germany).
Visitors can expect many specialist presentations and discussion panels, on the first day with Dr. Thomas Rühl (DB Station & Service AG, requested), Dr. Frank Golletz (50Hertz Transmission GmbH), Prof. Dr.-Christian Lippold (Die Autobahn GmbH des Bundes), Tim-Oliver Müller (Hauptverband der Deutschen Bauindustrie), Dr. Jan Spies and Meno Requardt (Volkswagen AG), Andreas Irngartinger (DEGES), Dr. Jan Tulke (BIM Deutschland), Dr. Dirk Ebersbach (VINCI Eurovia), Kathrin Glab (Herrenknecht AG) and Prof. Ashraf Hamed (Roads and Transport Authority, Dubai).
Following these overview presentations on the first day, the second day will be devoted to special topics relating to railroad infrastructure, road infrastructure and energy distribution networks in three parallel workshops.
