“BIM in Infrastructure – Transport & Energy 2024“ Congress

A+S will also be attending the next “BIM in Infrastructure – Transport and Energy” congress on March 4 and 5, 2024 at the Gläserne Manufaktur in Dresden. The congress is once again being organized by VDEI, TU Dresden, and buildingSMART Germany.

Congress highlights

Applications of BIM/IIM data models for rail, road, and energy infrastructure in existing buildings, planning, construction, and maintenance are traditionally the focus of the congress.

The central theme of the congress is the acceleration and digitalization of approval procedures in the infrastructure sector. Representatives from politics and industry will discuss the associated challenges and opportunities in panel discussions. Where do we stand six months after the law was passed? A key focus will be on the omnipresent and indispensable topic of AI How can we make sensible use of the AI in the area of infrastructure and what do we need to bear in mind? On the second day of the congress, three parallel workshops will cover the topics of fundamentals and digital twin of existing buildings, planning and approval with BIM as well as construction and maintenance with BIM.

Accompanying program

To add a little variety to the demanding processes, there is an opportunity to take part in a rail event, a test drive of an ID vehicle, or a guided tour of the VW Gläserne Manufaktur.
