BIM – Opportunities and added value

As part of the DVWG Impulse! lecture series, the Deutsche Verkehrswissenschaftliche Gesellschaft e.V. (German Transport Science Association - DVWG e.V.) organized an event on "Building information modeling (BIM) - Opportunities and added value" on the 29th of January in the rooms of the Technical University of Dresden. In the Impulse! presentation, Dr. Appelt critically questioned the current status of the BIM methodology and formulated goals. Based on various practical implementations, A+S could share experience, point out possibilities and formulate added value.

This was followed by a panel discussion with representatives from the fields of education (Prof. Lippold - HTW Dresden), public clients (Mr. Röder - LASuV), construction execution (Dr. Ebersbach - VIA IMC) and planning (Dr. Appelt - A+S Consult GmbH). The event was attended by a large number of interested parties from all over Germany. The discussion continued with shared conversations at the evening buffet.
