Face-to-face classes in universities again at last

Today is the kick-off at the Technical University of Munich. Dr. Veit Appelt is there to give the introductory lecture. The lecture series “BIM in transportation infrastructure IIM – Infrastructure Information Modelling” takes place at the Technical University of Dresden, the Technical University of Munich and the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg and will be held by Dr. Veit Appelt as well as our colleagues Dr. Klaus Tilger and Jens Bartnitzek. Not only students, but also employees from the administration and ministries of various federal states take part in the lecture series.
The lecture includes a seminar in which the theory is directly applied in practice using modern BIM technologies. The focus is either on roads or railroads, with energy lines and GIS data also being taken into account. Participants will learn how to integrate schedules, quantities and costs into the model to develop a complete understanding of the BIM methodology.
This advanced training program is a great opportunity for anyone working in the transportation infrastructure industry or looking to work in this field in the future. With the knowledge and skills they acquire, they will be able to plan and execute projects more efficiently and thus make an important contribution to improving our country’s infrastructure.
