15th International 3D Forum in Lindau

The international 3D forum took place in Lindau on Lake Constance on the 10th and 11th of May, 2016. For the 15th time, the island city of Lindau became the meeting point for international representatives from research, administration and business, who came to discuss the technologies of 3D city and landscape modelling. Over two days, participants took part in presentations and workshops about the newest trends and developments in the fields of 3D and GIS technology and reports of actual experiences were the focal point of the event.

A+S also used this international forum of experts, to absorb new developments and ideas which can be converted into actual projects. This is taking place in the framework of modelling existing buildings, such as the use of 270,000 buildings from CityGML files, which was one of the focal points of the forum. The processing of laser data plays an important role in projects in our own 3D-oriented planning tool, KorFin.
