Kick-off for the lecture series "BIM in transport infrastructure"
The lecture series "BIM in Transport Infrastructure" at the Technical University of Dresden, Technical University of Munich and Ruhr University Bochum has started again this semester and offers an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in the topics of transport infrastructure and BIM (Building Information Modeling) and IIM (Infrastructure Information Modelling). The lectures and seminars are held online by our colleagues Dr. Veit Appelt, Dr. Klaus Tilger and Jens Bartnitzek and offer a great opportunity for students, professionals and interested parties to expand their knowledge and skills in this field.
Not only students are invited to participate in the lecture, but also external participants can benefit from this offer. The TU Dresden offers a comprehensive further education program for interested parties, which is supported by renowned organizations such as Deutsche Bahn, the Saxon State Office for Road Construction and Transport, the Thuringian State Office for Construction and Transport, TenneT, the Brandenburg State Road Authority, the German Centre for Rail Transport Research and many others.
The practical exercises are an important part of this lecture series and offer participants the opportunity to create their own overall BIM model. The focus will be on either road or rail, with energy lines and GIS data also being considered. Participants will learn how to integrate time sequences, quantities and costs into the model to develop a complete understanding of the BIM methodology.
This advanced training program is a great opportunity for anyone working in the transportation infrastructure industry or looking to work in this field in the future. With the knowledge and skills they acquire, they will be able to plan and execute projects more efficiently and thus make an important contribution to improving our country's infrastructure.
