Smart City in Barcelona 2022

What should our cities look like in the future? This question not only concerns urban planners and architects, but also political decision-makers and the population itself. Since 2011, the Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC) in Barcelona has provided a platform for discussing precisely this question and presenting innovative solutions.

We were there as a team and were able to hold exciting discussions with interested parties, potential customers and partners. We gained interesting insights into the latest developments and trends in the field of smart cities and made valuable contacts.

In addition to these talks, however, there were also two highlights that we will remember in particular. One was the World Smart City Awards Gala, where outstanding projects and innovations in the smart city sector were honored. We were impressed by the many inspiring ideas and concepts that were presented here.

The second highlight was the German Party, to which all German companies and guests were invited. Here we were able to network with other German companies and share our experiences and projects. The overall participation of German companies at the fair was very high and the banners with the slogan GERMANY WORKS could be seen all over the hall. We were proud to be part of this community and to be able to make our contribution to the development of smart cities worldwide.
